Great Depression Part 2 Review

How did GD affect cities? People had jobs one day and unemployed the next, meny were homless

How did the unemployed live? A lot of them lost their homes and lived in Hoover vills

How did GD affect farmers? Because of the drought all of their crops died and they went poor

What other problems did farmers face? Because of their livly hoods basicly dying with drought they moved.

How did GD affect family life? Meny me sank down and left there familys. A lot of women worked as mades

How did Hoover try to handle the depression? He didn’t do much but he maid jobs for some with the dam

How does the US gov control the press during WWI? George creet was in charge of pretty much help Americans understand why we are at war

How are women affected by WWI? They take over the mens jobs

How are African Americans affected by WWI? They get a chance to get out there and show there stuff

How are Mexican Americans affected by WWI? Mexican Americans move north to take over agricultural jobs

World War I Part 1 Review

How does nationalism influence countries in the early 1900’s? they make them feel like the strongest nation should rule.

What is militarism? How does it influence Europe in the early 1900’s? it’s strong military, it brought out new weapons to the war.

Triple Alliance- Germany, Italy, Austria

Triple Entente- Russia GB France

How does the war start? the death of Franz Ferdinand

Why does the war become a stalemate? Because of the trench war fair, they really couldn’t make a lot of moves.

How does the US become involved in the war? After all of the act by Germany we got tired of it and joined the war in 1918.

Progressive Part 2 Movements Review

Describe what a settlement house is: they were places that help urban poor

Who was the leading figure of the settlement house movement? Why? The leader was jane adams she felt strongly about the need to help poor people.
